The following chapter deals with the general operation of the ToolScope, including the various access types. In addition, an example of the user interface is explained.

The device's functions can be accessed in three ways:

  • Via the machine control panel
  • Via the touchscreen
  • Via any desktop PCs

The device can be supplied either with a machine control panel or a touchscreen, according to requirements. In principle, access via a PC is always possible if the ToolScope is integrated in the corporate network.

The ToolScope is usually installed in such a way that it can be accessed directly from the machine control panel. The buttons below the machine control panel each trigger a selection of softkeys, which are arranged at the bottom of the user interface.
